The Wilder Shore

As the final ferry crossing to the Isle of Bute prepares to depart, a car with a cracked windscreen ploughs through the barrier and the driver begs to be let on board. She knows that this isn’t just the last crossing this evening – it’s the last crossing ever.

The Wilder Shore follows the passengers and crew trapped between two shores as the world around them becomes unrecognisable and as they confront what might be on board the ship with them.

THE WILDER SHORE is an ongoing webcomic created by me (writing as J W Murray) and Steven Ingram. It’s a three-act story – we’re currently working on the second. Once completed, we plan to publish it as a full-length graphic novel. However, it’s all available for free online!
